This is an adorable miniature hand painted porcelain by the remarkable English artist Basil Matthews. This was my grandmother's in the 1960's-70's. I used to love to look at it as a child. It still has the original label on the bottom. Probably purchased in New York at a very fine Park Avenue store Scully & Scully. A rare and beautiful work by this fine porcelain artist. A very precious treasure. No chips or damage just the bottom is worn velvet and label.
