The sizes provided are based on averages; tracks vary tremendously
based on specific animal type, age, region, gender
and speed of travel.
The type of terrain will also impact what a print looks like.
These samples are meant for fun – and are general
in shape and
appearance.
Animal tracks often print one over the other with the hind track
printing over the front print ,
these
prints are supplied NOT over lapped
but as separate prints.
All prints come in "right or left handed" - one set = 1front foot, 1 hind foot
In nature the hind print and front print are often different sizes
If you buy a set- its 4 tracks
2" long x 1.5" wide (one front print)-hind slightly smaller
Fox prints are similar to a small dog. Red fox prints are covered with fur and
show a distinct straightish line or bar along the back edge of the heel pad. Gray
fox prints
have a heel pad print that looks like a round pad with a smaller
ball print off both sides. The gray fox
has semi retractable toe nails so they
do not always leave prints. They can be distinguished from cat prints because
cat heel pads are big compared to the toes and cat prints are asymmetrical with
the toes pointing to the inside side (the inner toes more forward
than the outside).
