    Circa 1861 stereoview photo of Union picket guards. Although not printed or fully written on the view, the title of this image is,
    "Picket guard on the alert, near Lewinsville, Va."
    No photographer backmark but this image was taken by Edward Bierstadt. His brother, painter Albert Bierstadt used this image as a reference for his 1862 painting "Guerrilla Warfare", pictured above for reference.
