This is the original print block for an old Mammalogy or Natural History journal publication -
KU (Kansas University) Museum written on edge of block.
Probably 1950s.
This was recently removed from a 10-15 year old shadowbox mount so there is adhesive (dried silicone) residue on the back of the block - see pics for the details.
Block shows the bottom view, top view, side view, tooth detail, base view, and mandible detail of an ermine, mink, weasel or related skull.
Size of block is 4" X 5-5/8" X 7/8" thick.
The blocks is wood.  The attached plate is metal.
A great item for the mammalogist, zoologist or natural history collector.
